Introduction
Choledochal cyst is a rare disease in the western world with an incidence of 1:15 000 life births. Diagnosis is usually established within the first weeks of life and surgical resection of the cyst with bile duct reconstruction is the gold standard treatment, even in small newborns. However, there are situations with very sick or small neonates in which different approaches could be necessary.
