Summary

A series of secondary and tertiary pyridyl amides as potential central nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) ligands were prepared. Amides displayed negligible or very low affinity, whereas two amines achieved by reduction of corresponding secondary amides, showed affinity in the nanomolar range for nAChRs.

Zusammenfassung

Synthese von 3-Aminopyridin-Derivaten und ihre Bindung an zentrale Nicotin-Rezeptoren

Eine Reihe sekundärer und tertiärer Pyridyl-Amide als potentielle Liganden für zentrale Nicotin-Acetylcholin-Rezeptoren (nAChRs) wurde synthetisiert. Die Amide wiesen unbeträchtliche oder sehr begrenzte Affinität auf. Zwei durch Reduktion der entsprechenden sekundären Amide erhaltene Amine zeigten dagegen Affinität für nAChRs im nanomolaren Bereich.
