Lernziele

Der Leser sollte nach dem Durcharbeiten des Artikels

• reflektiert haben, dass Kiefer- und Zahnfehlstellungen keine Krankheiten darstellen, sondern anatomische Variationen der Zahn- und Kieferposition, die während der Gebissentwicklungsphase entstehen,

• die Ziele der kieferorthopädischen Behandlung kennen,

• den Zeitpunkt für den Beginn einer kieferorthopädischen Behandlung richtig einschätzen können und

• die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen einer kieferorthopädischen Therapie realistisch einschätzen können.
