Die Versorgung von Patienten mit Ernährungssonden stellt in vielen Endoskopie-Abteilungen eine alltägliche Aufgabe dar. Insbesondere die Anlage der perkutanen endoskopischen Gastrostomie (PEG) ist zu einem Routineeingriff geworden. Von der Industrie wird eine Vielzahl technisch unterschiedlicher Systeme angeboten, für deren Auswahl und Einsatz Kenntnisse über physiologische Aspekte der Ernährung und die Indikationsstellung Voraussetzung sind.
