Introduction
Right atrial masses are frequently identified by echocardiography, which usually represent variant anatomic structures, a tumor or a thrombus. Currently, patients are frequently referred to cardiac magnetic resonance for further evaluation in presence of an unclear cardiac mass on echocardiography. We report a case of a misinterpreted prominent crista terminalis on echocardiography, which demonstrates the strength of multiplanar imaging of cardiac MRI for understanding of the complex anatomy of the heart and its anatomical variations.
