Trotz hochmodernen Equipments gelingt die zökale Intubation während der Koloskopie in 5–10% der Fälle nicht. Alternative Instrumente sind die Ballon-Overtubes, die laut früheren Untersuchungen hohe Erfolgsraten hatten. Dzeletovic et al. untersuchten nun, ob Single- oder Doppelballons günstiger sind.
