Judgement of the inner values in the case of horse purchase: Can standardised test
situations with standardised protocols be helpful?
With a veterinary purchase examination the health is intensely judged with
the help of different parameters. However, the basic behaviour of the horse
plays rather a minor part, because for a relevant judgement up to now
standardised protocols are absent which could help the buyer in a purchase
decision. Scientific investigations have shown that absolutely standardised
test situations exist to judge behavioural aspects of a horse like
“temperament” and “character” reproducible and repeatable.
