Five known compounds were isolated from the leaves of Clerodendrum glabrum cultivated in Egypt. The isolated compounds were identified as n-butyl-β-D-fructofuranoside (1), n-butyl-β-D-fructopyranoside (2), n-butyl-α -D-fructofuranoside (3), 2'-O-(β-D-apiofuranosyl)-mussaenosidic acid (4), 3,5-Dimethoxy-benzoic acid (5) and 3-(4-Hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)-acrylic acid (6) by comparison of their 1D, 2D and mass spectra with those reported in the literature. All of these compounds were isolated for the first time from this plant. Furthermore, the cytotoxic and antimicrobial effects of the isolated compounds will be presented.
