Neurodynamische Tests unter die Lupe genommen^[1]

Zusammenfassung

Im Rahmen der Manuellen Therapie dienen neurodynamische Tests dazu, die Beteiligung des Nervensystems in Form einer eingeschränkten Mobilität zu beurteilen. Dabei wird die Testreaktion anhand von Symptomantwort, Bewegungsausmaß und Widerstand sowie dem Vergleich mit der Gegenseite und die Reaktion auf sensibilisierende Bewegungen bewertet. Eine adäquate Interpretation erfordert die Kenntnis der jeweiligen neurophysiologischen und biomechanischen Prozesse.

Das Ziel des Artikels besteht darin, einen aktuellen Überblick über diese Vorgänge zu schaffen, die Lücke zur klinischen Anwendung zu schließen und die Ergebnisse auf wissenschaftlicher Basis interpretierbar zu machen.

Abstract

Within the scope of manual therapy neurodynamic tests serve to evaluate the nervous system’s involvement in relation to limited mobility. For this purpose the patient’s reaction to the test is assessed for symptom response, range of motion and resistance and is compared to the opposite site and to the reaction to sensitising movements. An adequate interpretation requires knowledge about the respective neurophysiological and biomechanical processes.

The aim of this article is to review these processes, to bridge the gap to clinical application and to help to interpret the results on a scientific basis.
