Aus Praxis & Klinik – Verbesserte Polypendetektion durch Mitschauen der Endoskopieassistenz

Endoskopiepflegepersonen sind bei endoskopischen Eingriffen aktiv eingebunden, indem sie dem Untersucher bei Diagnostik und Therapie assistieren. Viele Arbeitsschritte werden als Team durchgeführt. Naturgemäß verfolgt die Pflegeassistenz das endoskopische Bild. Eine amerikanische Studie bestätigte die Erwartung einer besseren Polypendetektionsrate durch Mitbefundung der assistierenden Pflegeperson [1]. Diese Untersuchung regt an, die eigene Praxis zur Qualitätssicherung im Rahmen der Koloskopie zu hinterfragen.
