Endoscopy International Open – check out our new issue!
Dear colleagues and friends,
I am very proud to present the next EIO issue – the second issue of our new Open Access journal since it was born, and the first issue in 2014!
Despite its young age, the international concept and open access approach of Endoscopy International Open have already proven to be very attractive adapted to the needs of scientific researchers of our time and to clinical endoscopists. Currently, authors from more than 20 countries have submitted their manuscripts to EIO. Although the home country, native language, research and medical situation in each country might differ, what unites them all is their passion for gastrointestinal endoscopy, the enthusiasm to optimize treatment and examination methods, their dedication to research in this field and their commitment towards their patients.
Today, it is my pleasure to announce 6 new articles for our next issue, with topics such as duodenal-jejunal bypass liner implantation, embolization versus surgery for peptic ulcer bleeding, endoscopic submucosal dissection for adenocarcinomas, risk of venous thromboembolism, severe acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding and adverse events in ERCP in older patients. The authors of this issue’s articles come from Japan, Hong Kong, the Netherland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Please find below 6 authors of 5 of the articles and the story they have to tell.
Best regards
Thierry Ponchon
Editor-in-Chief
