Etwa 20 % der Patienten mit kolorektalem Karzinom (CRC) weisen einen CpG-Insel-Methylierungs-Phänotyp (CIMP) auf. Die Frage, ob diese Subgruppe von einer adjuvanten Chemotherapie mit Irinotecan zusätzlich zur Standardbehandlung mit Fluorouracil / Leucovorin (FU / LV) profitiert, wurde für Patienten mit Kolonkarzinom UICC-Stadium III untersucht.
