Editorial

Das Editorial dieser Ausgabe der physioscience möchte ich einer Forschungsarbeit widmen, die auch in der Rubrik „gelesen & kommentiert“ in diesem Heft besprochen wird. Es handelt sich um das Projekt ProFHER (UK), das die operative und konservative Versorgung von Patienten mit dislozierten subkapitalen Humerusfrakturen verglichen hat [5]. Die Veröffentlichung beschreibt eine großangelegte Studie, die über mehrere Jahre in 32 orthopädischen Krankenhäusern in England durchgeführt wurde. Sie schloss 250 randomisiert entweder operativ oder konservativ (Schlingenverband) versorgte Probanden ein. Alle Studienteilnehmer erhielten zudem eine physiotherapeutische Betreuung.
