Abstract

A 16 years aged female presented with gradually increasing swelling of left temporalis muscle associated with episodic headache. Computerized tomography scan of head revealed a defined enhancing soft tissue mass in left temporal region without an intracranial extension and bone invasion. The specimen of excised mass turned out to be cysticercosis of muscle on histological examination. A possibility of muscular cysticercosis presenting as pseudotumor of calvarium can not be ruled out.
