Status epilepticus in children is still treated with older antiepileptic drugs like phenytoin or phenobarbital. Evidence based guidelines are missing. There is growing evidence of effectiveness and safety of newer anticonvulsants in status therapy. We will present new data of status therapy in adults and children in an interdisciplinary dialogue between neurologist and child Neurologist.
