Zusammenfassung
Epigenetik bezeichnet im weiteren Sinne die Weitergabe von Eigenschaften an Nachkommen, die nicht auf Abweichungen in der DNA-Sequenz zurückgehen, sondern auf eine vererbbare Änderung der Genregulation und Genexpression. Exogene Einflussfaktoren können ebenso wie Lebensereignisse epigenetische Muster verändern. Auch in der Traumaforschung gewinnen Erkenntnisse der Epigenetik zunehmend an Bedeutung. Sie stellen eine generationenübergreifende Verbindung von Anlage und Umwelt dar und eröffnen ein molekulares Verständnis oftmals lange bekannter Zusammenhänge der Traumaforschung. Es wird insbesondere deutlich, dass bereits intrauterin einwirkende Faktoren Bedeutung haben. Der Beitrag möchte ausgewählte Ergebnisse der Epigenetik darstellen.
Summary
Epigenetics refers, in a broad sense, to the transfer of traits to descendants that are not attributable to differences in the DNA sequence, but to heritable changes in gene regulation and gene expression. Exogenous factors as well as life events can change epigenetic patterns. In trauma research knowledge of epigenetics becomes increasingly important, providing an intergenerational link between nature and and environment and allowing a new molecular understanding of long known relationships of trauma research . It is particularly clear that intrauterine acting factors have importance. The contribution presents selected results from epigenetics.
