Zusammenfassung
Im Reha-Zentrum INSULA fällt seit vielen Jahren in der Langzeittherapie von extrem adipösen Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen die häufige Verbindung von Internetsucht, Schulvermeidendem Verhalten und Obesitas auf und wird von uns als ISO-Syndrom bezeichnet. Bei allen drei Symptomen kann Ursache oder auch Folgesymptom vorliegen. Leider führt das ISO-Syndrom oft zu deutlich geringerer Adipositas-Therapiemotivation und braucht daher einen speziellen anamnestischen und therapeutischen Zugang.
Summary
Since several years an increasing number of adolescents and young adults with extreme obesity in long-term inward obesity therapy in the Rehabilitation Centre INSULA were found to show a combination of Internet addiction, School avoiding behaviour and Obesity (ISO-Syndrome). All three symptoms can be the beginning- or the endpoint in the development of the syndrome. Unfortunately, the ISO-Syndrome leads to less therapeutic motivation in many cases. Therefore, it needs a specialized anamnesis and therapy to accomplish an eventual success in therapy.
