A Comparison of the Red Cell Uptake of ¹³¹I-T₃ and ¹²⁵I-T₃ as a Test of Thyroid Function

Summary

Investigation of the in vitro red cell uptake of triiodothyronine as a test of thyroid function showed that there was no significant difference when fresh saline dilutions of ¹²⁵I-T₃ were used in place of ¹³¹I-T₃.

Des études sur la fixation „in vitro“ erythrocytaire de la triiodothyronine au test fonctionnel de la glande thyroïdienne ont démontré qu’il n’y a aucune difference significative à condition qu’on prenne des dilutions salines fraiches de ¹²⁵I-T₃ aul lieu de ¹³¹I-T₃.

Bei Verwendung der In-vitro-Speicherung von Trijodthyronin durch Erythrozyten als Test der Schilddrüsenfunktion zeigte sich kein signifikanter Unterschied wenn frische Kochsalzverdünnungen von ¹²⁵I-T₃ statt ¹³¹J-T₃ benutzt wurden.
