Summary
A 10-month-old Bernese Mountaindog was ophthalmologically examinated because of impaired vision. Examination with the slitlamp led to the presumption diagnosis of a congenital malformation like persistent hyperplastic tunica vasculosa lentis (PHTVL) and persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous (PHPV). The persistent blood-filled hyaloid artery could be shown by Doppler ultrasonography.
