Summary

A mathematical analysis of theoretical models of the radiohippuran renogram is presented. The preliminary considerations are based on a hydrodynamic model and a diffusion model. On the basis of the model assumptions the functions describing radioactivity of the blood, kidneys and urinary bladder are derived. It is demonstrated that by comparing theoretical curves with experimental ones the parameters characterizing some phenomena of hippuran kinetics may be estimated. These parameters are: the clearance of the tracer from the blood, the out-flow of the urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder, the extravascular diffusion of the tracer and the functional asymmetry of the kidneys.

Les auteurs présentent une analyse mathématique de modèles théoriques du rénogramme au radiohippurane. Des considérations préliminaires se réfèrent d’abord à un modèle hydrodynamique et un modèle de diffusion. Sur la base de ces modèles on a déduit des fonctions décrivant la radioactivité du sang, des reins et de la vessie. Il est démontré q’une comparaison entre les courbes théoriques et expérimentales permet d’évaluer les paramètres caractérisant quelques phénomènes de la cinétique de l’hippurance. Ces paramètres sont les suivants: La clearance du traceur dans le sang, le passage de l’urine des reins dans la vessie, la diffusion extravasculaire du traceur et l’asymétrie fonctionelle des reins.

Es wird die mathematische Analyse theoretischer Modelle des Radiohippuran- Renogramms vorgelegt. Vorläufige Betrachtungen beziehen sich zunächst auf ein hydrodynamisches Modell, worauf ein Diffusionsmodel l untersucht wird. Auf der Grundlage der Modellannahmen werden Funktionen abgeleitet, die die Radioaktivität des Blutes, der Nieren und der Harnblase beschreiben. Es wird gezeigt, daß durch Vergleich theoretischer mit experimentellen Kurven jene Parameter abgeschätzt werden können, die einige Phänomene der Hippurankinetik charakterisieren. Diese Parameter sind: die Clearance des Tracers aus dem Blut, der Urinfluß von den Nieren in die Harnblase, die extravaskuläre Diffusion des Tracers und die funktionelle Asymmetrie der Nieren.
