Hypoglossusnerv-Stimulation für Patienten mit obstruktiver Schlafapnoe

Obstruktive Schlafapnoe ist eine der am häufigsten auftretenden Erkrankungen in Industrieländern. Als Standardverfahren zur Behandlung ist die nächtliche Überdruckbeatmung über eine Maske etabliert. Alternative konservative Behandlungsverfahren sind unter anderem Unterkieferprotrusionsschienen oder Therapien zur Rückenlageverhinderung. Im Bereich der chirurgischen Therapien ist eine Vielzahl verschiedener Eingriffe möglich, doch liegen nur wenige Langzeitdaten mit größeren Fallzahlen vor. Mit der Hypoglossusnerv-Stimulation wurde nun ein weiteres Verfahren in die klinische Routine eingeführt.
