Mutter-Kind-Behandlungsangebote in der Psychiatrie

Zusammenfassung

Psychische Erkrankungen in der Postpartalzeit wie Depressionen, Angststörungen oder Psychosen sind nicht selten und haben neben dem Leid der Patientin immer auch Auswirkungen auf die Mutter-Kind-Beziehung und die kindliche Entwicklung. Das Mutter-Kind-Projekt an der Psychiatrischen Poliklinik (PUP) des Universitätsspitals Basel trägt in einem integrativen Konzept sowohl der psychiatrischen Behandlung der Mutter wie auch der Mutter-Kind- Beziehung Rechnung. Dabei wurden ambulante, teilstationäre und stationäre spezifische Betreuungskonzepte entwickelt. Das stationäre Mutter-Kind-Behandlungsangebot in der Kriseninterventionsstation (KIS) zeigt in modellhafter Weise Möglichkeiten und Grenzen einer spezifischen Versorgung in einem niederschwelligen, nicht-stigmatisierenden allgemeinpsychiatrischen Setting.

Summary

Postpartum mental disorders such as depression, anxiety or psychosis are frequent illnesses. Apart from the patient’s suffering there are also implications for the mother-infantrelationship and the child’s development. The Mother-Infant- Project at the Psychiatric Outpatient Department (PUP) of the University Hospital Basel meets the specific needs of mentally disordered mothers and takes the mother child relationship into account. Integrative, specific treatment options were developed for outpatient treatment, day care and inpatient settings. The inpatient mother infant treatment program in the psychiatric crisis intervention ward (KIS) demonstrates possibilities and limitations of a specific mother infant service in a low-threshold, non-stigmatising setting in general psychiatry.
