Zusammenfassung
Ein idiopathischer Kopfschmerz ausgelöst durch sexuelle Aktivität ist seit vielen Jahren bekannt und in die aktuelle Klassifikation der International Headache Society aufgenommen. In dieser Übersicht werden die klinischen Erscheinungsbilder und die Therapiemöglichkeiten bei dieser Kopfschmerzform vorgestellt. Daneben kann sexuelle Aktivität in einzelnen Fällen eine Entlastung von Kopfschmerzen (insbesondere Migräne) darstellen. Der epidemiologische Hintergrund für dieses Phänomen und mögliche Mechanismen werden ebenfalls vorgestellt und diskutiert.
Summary
An idiopathic headache disorder associated with sexual activity is known for many years and has been introduced in the current classification of the International Headache Society. In this review, the clinical picture and the therapeutic options for this headache disorders are described. Further, sexual activity can lead to headache relief (in particular migraine) in single patients. The epidemiological background for this phenomenon and possible mechanisms are presented and discussed.
