Anthracyclin-Therapie mit weniger Kardiotoxizität

Das Auftreten von Metastasen bringt Mammakarzinom-Patientinnen in eine neue Situation. In der Therapie geht es jetzt vorrangig darum, tumor- und therapiebedingte Nebenwirkungen und Komplikationen zu vermeiden und die Lebensqualität zu verbessern, während die Lebensverlängerung in den Hintergrund tritt. Wenn eine Chemotherapie mit einem Anthracyclin indiziert ist, sollte eine nebenwirkungsarme Substanz wie liposomales Doxorubicin gegeben werden.
