Cetuximab in der Erstlinientherapie bei Patienten mit mCRC und KRAS-Wildtyp: Therapiestandard in der sekundär kurativen und palliativen Situation

In der Erstlinientherapie von Patienten mit metastasiertem kolorektalem Karzinom (mCRC) und KRAS-Wildtyp kann Cetuximab (Erbitux®) in Kombination mit den Standardchemotherapien (FOLFIRI und FOLFOX) das progressionsfreie und das Gesamtüberleben* verlängern. Dabei können auch Patienten in der Palliativsituation mit leberüberschreitender Metastasierung profitieren, berichtete Prof. Claus-Henning Köhne, Oldenburg, auf der DGHO-Jahrestagung 2011. Diese Cetuximab-Kombinationen seien daher ein Therapiestandard für alle mCRC-Patienten mit KRAS-Wildtyp – unabhängig von einer nur auf die Leber beschränkten Metastasierung oder palliativen Intention.
