A caudal superficial epigastric arterial pedicle graft was used to cover a large skin defect of the lateral hind quarters in two dogs. The grafts were used to provide durable skin, allow mobility of the patient, and correct a wound contracture deformity. The successful use of the caudal superficial epigastric arterial pedicle graft over lateral hind quarter defects has not previously been reported and demonstrates its mobility and applicability in animals suffering skin loss injuries in this region.
