A natural information system is viewed as a living organism for representing storing and processing cumulated knowledge. Some statistics partially describing mechanisms of document-document coupling, document-author/reader coupling and document-language coupling are compiled. Original results on author/reader behavior from a questionnaire are included.

Ein „natürliches Informationssystem” wird im Hinblick auf die Darstellung, Speicherung und Verarbeitung angesammelten “Wissensstoffes mit einem lebenden Organismus verglichen. Die Arbeit bringt weiter einige statistische Angaben über Beziehungen von Dokument zu Dokument, Dokument zu Autor bzw. Leser und zwischen Dokument und Sprache. Schließlich werden die Ergebnisse einer eigenen Fragebogen-Untersuchung über Verhaltensweisen von Autoren und Lesern mitgeteilt.
