I am much honored to serve as the guest editor for this special edition titled, Recent Trends in Gastrointestinal Intervention Focusing on Stenting. As there are many top notch experts leading progressive new developments in the gastrointestinal intervention focusing on stenting, it was not difficult to handpick authors in this edition.

The articles featured in this edition include updated review of stenting from the esophagus to the colorectum. Comprehensive reviews on materials and designs of gastrointestinal stents, stent-related complications, and interventional management for aerodigestive fistula were also included.

I really appreciate the invited authors who clearly surpassed my expectations and graciously contributed to the edition sharing their knowledge, inspiration, and precious experiences over in-depth review articles. I hope this issue of Digestive Disease and Interventions can provide new information and stimulate more research in the field of gastrointestinal intervention.
