Zusammenfassung

Die Visite ist der tägliche Dreh- und Angelpunkt im Tagesablauf auf internistischen Stationen. Sie ist für die Information des Patienten und seiner Angehörigen und für die Sammlung von neuen Informationen und für die Planung und Entscheidungsfindung zur weiteren Diagnostik, Prognoseeinschätzung und Therapie für das interprofessionelle Team unabdingbar. Außerdem bietet die Visite einen wichtigen Rahmen für situiertes Lernen und Reflektieren von Handlungsalternativen im Sinne einer evidenzbasierten Medizin. Die Visite ist ein zentraler Baustein der Patienten-Arzt-Kommunikation und leistet einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Patientensicherheit.

Abstract

Ward rounds are the pivot point of the daily routine on internal medicine wards. They are crucial to the interprofessional team to inform the patient and his relatives, to gather new information as well as to plan further diagnostics, evaluation of prognosis and therapy. Furthermore, medical rounds provide an important setting for situational learning and reflection of alternatives of action in terms of evidence based medicine. The war round is a vital component of the patient-doctor communication and contributes strongly to patient safety.
