Zusammenfassung

Psychogene nicht-epileptische Anfälle (PNEA) sind eine der wichtigsten Differenzialdiagnosen epileptischer Anfälle und stellen eine besondere diagnostische Herausforderung dar. In diesem Beitrag werden klinische Kriterien zur besseren Unterscheidung von epileptischen und nicht-epileptischen psychogenen Anfällen aufgeführt. Ziel ist es, Kenntnisse zu vermitteln, die eine frühe Diagnosestellung und Einleitung der angemessenen Therapie erlauben, da sich dadurch die Prognose von psychogenen nicht-epileptischen Anfällen entscheidend verbessern kann.

Abstract

Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) are one of the most important differential diagnoses of epileptic seizures and represent a challenging pathology for clinicians. The aim of this article is to impart clinical criteria for an accurate diagnosis of psychogenic non-epileptic seizures since an early and appropriate treatment may considerably improve the prognosis.
