Background
Macular changes after retinal detachment (RD) surgery other than epiretinal membranes are unusual [1], [2], [3]. Pigment dispersion in the macula appearing as spotty, linear or patchy areas has been described previously [4]. We report a striking pattern dystrophy-like subretinal pigment dispersion in a butterfly shape, which was observed after buckle surgery for RD.
