Chantal M. C. le Clercq et al. Temporal trends and variability of colonoscopy performance in a gastroenterology practice

Qualität:
This large retrospective study from The Netherlands examined important colonoscopy quality measures over 6 years among 23 colonoscopists. Overall, adenoma detection rate, proximal adenoma detection rate, and cecal intubation rate improved over time. More importantly, variation between colonoscopists decreased from 37% to 15% as a result of improved performance of the lower-performing colonoscopists.
