Background
Optic nerve coloboma is a rare congenital anomaly of the optic disc, which is the result of incomplete closure of the embryonic fissure. This condition can either be an isolated finding, or it can be found in association with multiple congenital anomalies [1]. It has been associated with serous macular detachment, although the exact pathogenesis of this complication is not completely understood [2]. Linear resolution of the serous macular detachment has been described previously [3]. In contrast, we describe here, the case of a cyclical resorption of the submacular fluid.
