Abstract
Herbal drugs for wound healing
In recent years phytotherapy for wound healing was seldom applied in clinical situations despite well-documented long-term empirical use. This article compiles the modern knowledge of the physiology of wound healing, and presents recent in vitro research and animal and human studies on the local treatment with the popular herbs aloe gel, chamomile and marigold flowers.
