Pädiatrische Patienten, die mittels inkontinenter Harnableitung über ein Dünndarmsegment (Ileum-Conduit nach Bricker) versorgt werden, weil sie sich aufgrund von Kontraindikationen nicht für eine kontinente Form der Harnableitung eignen, haben ein erhöhtes Risiko für Komplikationen der oberen Harnwege. Abdelhalim und Kollegen haben die langfristige Entwicklung und Lebensqualität dieser Patienten untersucht und analysiert, in welchem Ausmaß bei ihnen mit einer Verschlechterung der renalen Funktion zu rechnen ist.
