Zusammenfassung
Ziel der Arbeit war, Erfahrungen von Tierärzten und Tierheilpraktikern mit dem Einsatz von Akupunktur in Deutschland zusammenzutragen. Es wurden 26 Tierärzte und 17 Tierheilpraktiker interviewt, die bereits mehrjährig Akupunktur bei Rindern anwenden. Die Akupunktur hatte insgesamt einen hohen Stellenwert bei den Befragten, im Mittel wurden mehr als vier Rinderkrankheiten damit behandelt. Der Schwerpunkt lag im Bereich Milchkühe bzw. deren Kälbern. Akupunktur wurde häufig in Kombination mit anderen Therapieformen eingesetzt. Insgesamt zeigten sich die Befragten überzeugt von der Akupunktur.
Summary
The aim of the study was to collect experiences of veterinarians and animal healers with cattle acupuncture in Germany. 26 veterinarians and 17 animal healers, who practice acupuncture in cattle, were interviewed by phone. All in all, acupuncture was of relatively high importance for the respondents. On average, four cattle diseases were treated with acupuncture, mainly in dairy cows and their calves. Acupuncture was often used in combination with other therapeutic methods. Altogether, the respondents were convinced of the efficacy of acupuncture.
