An 82-year-old female with liver cirrhosis secondary to NASH presented with upper GI bleeding and was found to have gastric varices IGV 1 with a fibrin clot. No esophageal varices or a feeding vessel were identified.

Using a 19 g needle the varices were treated using a total of 3 coils (14 mm × 14 cm) and a total of 1 ml of 2-octyl cyanoacrylate. Complete ablation was confirmed on EUS-doppler.

No signs of bleeding on 3 and 6 months follow-up.
