Aims The aim of the study was to present our experiences in use of NurAiD after stroke and after traumatic brain injury (TBI). It contains nine herbal components: Radix: astragali, salviae miltiorrhizae, paeoniae rubra, angelicae sinensis, polygalae and Rhizoma: chuanxiong, acori tatarinowii and Carthamus tinctorius and Prunus persica.

Method Neurological, neuropsychological and functional condition of two stroke patients and two TBI patients (from a group of about 30 people) treated with NurAiD in addition to rehabilitation and basic drugs were assessed before and after completing the treatment and by follow up examination.

Results The description of cases shows that in the presented patients there were no side effects and there was improvement in neurological, neuropsychological and functional condition in measured endpoints. Conclusions from literature [1] [2] [3] indicate a positive effect of NurAiD on the result of rehabilitation.

Conclusion The above-mentioned findings encourage the addition of NurAiD to the rehabilitation after stroke and after TBI. However, to be more categorical and precise about its effectiveness, further research on NurAiD in the form of next clinical trials is still needed.
