Aim The observed steady increase in morbidity, mortality and incidence of endometrial cancer has aroused the interest of many researchers to find methods for early diagnosis of endometrial neoplasms. The purpose of this study is the early detection of endometrial pathology in postmenopausal women (PMW) without clinical symptoms with hormone replacement therapy (Timbolone, MF11RCE-yalouronyc acid).

Material and Methods In a retrospective study conducted at the University Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of Democritus University of Thrace, in Greece, 850 PMW examined from 01.01.2007 to 31.12.2019 in the context of annual preventive gynecological examinations without previous pathology. Their age ranged between 48 and 58 years, with an average time of established menopause between 2 and 3 years.

We considered endometrial thickness as a normal limit ≤6mm. In all cases where the thickness of the endometrium was greater than 6mm we performed diagnostic fractional abrasion in combination with hysteroscopy.

Resuts After measurements of the thickness of the endometrium in the consortium of the above women with the help of transvaginal ultrasound was found in 702 women (33.6%) endometrial thickness <6mm in (Group A). In 92 women (12.26%) ranged between 5-7 mm (Group B), in 34 cases (4.13%) endometrial thickness greater than or equal to 8mm was found (Group C).

Conclusion There was no statistically significant difference in endometrial thickness between groups of Timbolone and MF11RCE-yalouronic acid. However, in cases of endometrial ultrasound thickness > 6 mm of asymptomatic PMW, to exclude the possibility of pathology, we recommend endometrium hysteroscopic biopsy
