Die sonografisch geführte Abszessdrainage ist ein etabliertes Verfahren der interventionellen Sonografie und weist hohe Erfolgsraten auf. Entscheidend für den Erfolg sind eine gute Vorbereitung – exakte Lokalisation des Punktionszieles, Planung des Punktionsweges, Auswahl von Materialien und Punktionstechnik – und ein systematisches und standardisiertes Vorgehen. Dies stellen die Autoren in ihrem Beitrag dar.
