Abstract
Radial side (type 1d) tears are less common triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC)
tears. Symptomatic one's present wrist pain and limitation of function. A 23-year-old
male presented a symptomatic radial side TFCC rupture after a fall 6 months prior.
Following appropriate investigation, he was managed via arthroscopic suture screw
anchor repair. These types of tears, which were previously repaired with open methods,
were later repaired through the transosseous tunnel opened to the radius with the
arthroscopy assisted. The later described techniques made minor modifications to form
tunnels easier. Our new technique we defined; TFCC may be an alternative treatment
method in radial side ruptures due to some advantages it provides compared with the
previously defined drill hole techniques.
