This article presents a comprehensive review of the methods of synthesis, the main reactions, and the chemical, physical, and physiological properties of 1H-indazol-3-ols (termed indazolols in this article for simplicity) and the tautomeric 1,2-dihydro-3H-indazol-3-ones (termed indazolones). Emphasis is placed on spectroscopic evidence for the structures assigned to the products. 1. Introduction 2. Nomenclature 3.
