Phosphorus Ylides as Synthons for Nitrile Ylides Phosphites and 2,2-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-oxazol-5(2H)-one (1) react with elimination of carbon dioxide to give 1, 1-bis(trifluoromethyl)-2-aza-4-phospha-1,3-butadiene, which can be used as synthon for the unknown hydrogen-substituted nitrile ylides in [3 + 2]- cycloaddition reactions.
