2-Allyl-1,2-oxaborolane (3) and dimethyl sulfide- 1,2-oxaborolane complex 9a were prepared from 2-allyloxy-1,2-oxaborolane (1) and allylmagnesium bromide in diethyl ether or with dimethyl sulfide-borane complex in dimethyl sulfide, respectively. Reaction of 3 and 9 with various amines afforded 2-amino-1,2-oxaborolanes 6a-d and 6e-1, respectively. Transamination of 6 as well as the synthesis of the related bis(1,2-oxaborolanyl) derivatives 12 and 14 were also conducted.
