The condensation of bis(nonafluorobutanesulfonyl)methane (1) with carbodiimides 2, triethyl orthoformate (4) and tetraethyl orthocarbonate (6) affords capto-dative olefins 2,2-dialkylamino-1, 1-bis(nonafluorobutanesulfonyl)ethenes 3, 2-ethoxy-1, 1-bis(nonafluorobutanesulfonyl)ethene (5) and 2,2-diethoxy-1, 1-bis(nonafluorobutanesulfonyl)ethene (7). NMR studies of the capto-dative olefins show a highly polarized ground state, which was also confirmed by X-ray structure analysis of the bistriflone 10.
