By a simple Diels-Alder reaction with extrusion of an arylnitrile molecule, the new 2H-pyrrolo[2,1-b][1,3,4]oxadiazine family was obtained from the corresponding 2H-imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]oxadiazine and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate in nearly quantitative yield.
