Secondary P-ethynylphosphines bearing non-uncumbered substituents are synthesized by reduction of the easily available oxide precursors with phenylsilane for the P-alkyl derivatives and with a complex reducing agent (PhSiH3-PhSiCl3) or pure PhSi(H)Cl2 for the P-phenyl derivatives.
