The solid-phase glycopeptide synthesis of a O-fucosylated 36 amino acid serine protease inhibitor from Locusta migratoria was carried out using Fmoc-Thr(α-Ac3Fuc)-OH as the key building block. The deprotected and purified glycopeptide was characterized by electrospray mass spectrometry and zone capillary electrophoresis.
