The ternary coupling reaction composed of aryl bromides, phenyltributyltin and 1,3-dioxole under the palladium catalyst, PdCl2[P(o-tol)3]2 in THF proceeds to produce 4,5-diaryl-1,3-dioxolane in moderate to good yield.
