A facile method for synthesizing trans and cis disubstituted vinylic cyclopropanes is described. The key steps are alkylation of chiral allylic alcohols and cyclisation via SN of functionalized allylic substrates using palladium (0) catalyst with high regio- and stereoselectivity.
